Tiffen & Co Brokers Awarded “1st XI” Honours
This award recognised the best 11 brokers in the country during the 2012 calendar year and is the second year in a row Gerard, David and Patrick have taken home this accolade.
Gerard Tiffen, David Friend and Patrick Bouquiaux were named in the prestigious “1st XI” at the annual nMB conference on the Gold Coast on 1 May 2013.
Having three brokers from Tiffen & Co named in this award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of not only the brokers but the support staff of Tiffen & Co.
“Without the support of our wonderful personal assistants, we would definitely not be in the position we are in today. While our clients are the driving force behind everything we do, our PA’s are the oil that ensures the machine runs smoothly,” said Gerard Tiffen.
The three brokers, who were also joined by Stephanie Brennan, David Gawthrop, Peter Williams and Gerard Heffernan at the annual national mortgage brokers conference at the Sheraton Mirage on the Gold Coast, enjoyed three days of awards, presentations and networking.
They heard from inspirational speakers such as Alisa Camplin (Australia’s first female winter Olympic Gold Medallist), Peter Switzer (Chairman of Switzer Financial Planning), John McGrath (Chief Executive of McGrath Estate Agents) and John Symond (Executive Chairman of Aussie).
One of the most memorable points made by the speakers came from Alisa Camplin who spoke about the sacrifices she made in order to win gold. Alisa worked three jobs, hired her own specialist coach and was $250K in debt going into the Olympics. If she hadn’t won gold at the Olympics (and received subsequent sponsorships), she believes she would be paying off that debt for the rest of her life.
Our brokers were inspired by her story of determination and her message that if you want to succeed, then you have to posses unwavering perseverance and make sacrifices to get there.
Managing Director Gerard Tiffen was also awarded the nMB Broker of the Year for National Sales by Volume and nMB Broker of the Year for Regional Sales by Volume.
