Gerard Heffernan
After more than 14 years in banking and finance, which saw me travel through most of NSW, ACT and Melbourne Vic, I became a Mortgage Consultant with The Mortgage Detective in 1999. During my time with The Mortgage Detective I also held positions of Sales Manager and Operations Manager and following the merger of The Mortgage Detective and Tiffen and Co was welcomed into the combined business as a shareholder.
In 2004 I completed a Diploma in Business Management and 2008 a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking).
In 1999 I moved back to Canberra with my wife Jennifer from Melbourne. We have two little girls who were born in Canberra, so that's one of the reasons we are attached to this great city. I also have 2 older children who a busy studying their way through high school, so family life moves at a pretty busy pace for me. For ‘R&R ’I enjoy playing music in a Celtic band. I also enjoy writing poetry, reading and Sudoku. I also travel frequently to my family's farm near Bega NSW.
I believe that all customers require different levels of service. We can't treat all customers the same. We are all individuals who have different expectations. At Tiffen and Co / The Mortgage Detective we concentrate on meeting our client's expectations rather than giving everyone the same old level of service. We like to go out of our way to make things happen for our clients and ensure that the experience is memorable".
